Generator circuitry insetting TV screen characters - uses operator console and microprocessor control to inset letters and numerals in small screen area

The unit has more universal application than those designed specifically for teletext systems. The system comprises an operator panel (1), microprocessor (12), store (14) and character generator (13). The system may be used by prior programming of the microprocessor (12) and operation of operator controls (1) or by automatic identification to display the transmission frequency (10) on the screen. To this can be added the channel identification (11) by using the operator's console (1). The total information (10,11) is also stored (14) so that it can be repeat displayed when programme changes occur. The display time is also determinable. The operator console control (1) has facilities for information selection and limited capacity for insert positioning.
