Wind-driven power plant - has resistance surface pivoting about point through 180 degrees, which can be limited to 90 degrees by resilient side stops

The power plant is fitted both with a horizontal and a vertical centre shaft. The resistance surface has a pivotal point arranged so that the surface tends to rotate in the wind direction. During each half revolution of the centre shaft the resistance surface rotates through 180 deg. In order to limit its rotation to 90 deg., sprung members are mounted on either side of the resistance surface. The members can be of any arbitrary construction, but of such a design as to permit the resistance surface to rotate through 180 deg. at to high wind force. Pref. the smaller part of the resistance surface is located next to the pivotal point and is balanced into an equilibrium when the centre shaft, or the pivotal point, are horizontal.
