The cabinet has a plate with a groove all round the edge so that a covering grid can be applied to the outside. The two loudspeakers are secured by bolts to the plate. Each loudspeaker is attached to an aluminium disc with a bulge in the centre, into which can be placed a filling insert. Attached to the disc is a cardboard ring. The coil projects from the opposite side to the bulge, and the two connecting wires can pass over or under the cardboard ring. The whole plate can be diecast, and incorporates a thinner middle zone where the loudspeakers are attached.
