The two adjacent edges of the window panes (4,5) are gripped by U-shaped sealing strips (19,20) with offset edges and located in a moulded rail (9) with similar offset edges to grip over the seals. The composite effect of the seam minimises the otherwise dead angle of vision (a to b) for the driver so that a simple panel structure is possible for the front door window, with a fixed triangular front section and a wind down parallel sided main section. The ends of the moulded strip are curled over to grip the sealing strips, with a thin bulkhead linking both sides of the strip. One of the U-shaped strips has multiple sealing lips to grip the wind down pane.
