Rapid desorption of activated charcoal with steam - by heating with satd. steam under pressure and desorption with superheated steam at lower pressure

In the desorption of activated charcoal (I) with steam (I) is heated to 110-210 (120-160) deg.C with satd. steam under pressure, then the pressure is lowered (to atmos. pressure) and desorption is carried out with superheated steam at 110-210 deg.C (the same temp.). As complete desorption as possible takes place in the shortest possible time with little steam. Separate drying of (I) before re-use is unnecessary.
