The cable drum mechanism is fitted with a centrifugal force braking system. The centrifugal weights are fitted inside the brake drum, which has rounded surfaces. Two opposite centrifugal force weights are loosely fitted. The braking surfaces have a radius, which is a maximum of 2 percent smaller than the internal radius of the brake drum. The centrifugal weights are held up against the hub by a ball race.
