The simulator system allows a wide range of fault conditions to be reproduced. The simulator main system is housed (4) in a separate room with the main plant and has an operator console (5) and main processor (6). A data link (10) is connected over a multi way socket (12) to auxiliary processors (17,18) located within a truck (15). Fault conditions may be entered using the track based systems to expose the trainee operator to a wide range of typical operating effects. The truck also allows the system to be readily moved between locations. The system is specifically designed for operator training in nuclear power plant.
