Emergency telephone and independent power supply - uses photocell low light illumination switching and dry battery or solar cell power supply

An external emergency telephone installation with illumination. The illumination is switched on by a photocell circuit during darkness or bad weather. The entire installation may be powered by dry batteries or a rechargeable accumulator using a solar cell charging circuit. The objective is mains independent power supply and energy conservation. The unit may be post mounted, possibly with solar cell mounted on top of the pole, and uses a photocell (11) connected to a control circuit (6) to switch on the lamp (9) when the light level falls below a predetermined threshold. Telephone (8), lamp (9) and control circuit (6) are powered from the dry battery (7) or accumulator/solar cell combination.
