The electrode for use in electromedical kinesis is designed for improved efficiency in certain applications compared to conventional arrangements. It is made of conventional wire in the form of a net or grid, and is made in the shape of a five-pointed star. This makes it possible for regions of adjacent electrodes to interlace and increase their effect. The electrode is embedded in insulating material with one side completely covered and the other fully exposed and with a central electrical connector. The design enables two, three or four identical electrodes to be used adjacent to each other. Two electrodes results in increased efficiency, whereas the use of two four-pointed star shaped electrodes results in only the same effect as the use of rectangular electrodes.
