The two-way rectifier circuit is designed to provide an improvement in the operational efficiency. The input (Up) is fed to the primary coil and can be in the form of a sinusoidal or square wave signal. The secondary winding has two tappings that connect with diodes (4,5) coupled with an inductance (6) to form a first stage filter. A second filter stage is provided by a capacitor (10) connected in parallel to the load (9). An additional diode (11) serves to control the voltage to less than that applied to the diodes (4,5). The centre tapping diode is in the form of a Schottky diode.
