Foam generating and conveying equipment - uses foam agent-water mixture with introduction of compressed air

The water necessary for the foam production is supplied via pipe (10), while foam agent is introduced into the flow at branch (12). To the water/foam agent mixture compressed air is added by an injector assembly (14) and the mixture proceeds into an enlarged housing (16) containing screen (18) with mesh size of 0.6mm. The mesh produces foam which is conveyed to the space where explosion or fire has occurred. The foam supply tube can be as large as 150mm and can be fitted with a branch (26) on which gate valve (24) is fitted, serving for checking the state of the foam.
