Appts. for monitoring cyclically repetitive operations, esp. the injection cycles of plastics moulding machines, comprises an electronic real time counter with start and stop inputs, electronic memories, with inputs connected to set-point time emitters consisting of decadic input switches for inputting min. and max. set-point times, a comparator circuit for comparing the memories with the contents of the time counter, and an alarm signal emitter consisting of at least three signal sources, of which the first indicates when the cycle time lies between the min. and max. set-point times, the second indicates when the cycle time exceeds the max. set-point time, and the third indicates when the cycle time is less than the min. set-point time. The appts. provides detailed information to the operator as to whether the cycle time is correct or is being exceeded or is running too short.
