Bird seed feeding block for caged birds - has block of seed fixed with adhesive to one surface of flat backing sheet

The block provides the bird with food in the form of bird seed secured to a support by a binding agent. The support can be hung from a transverse cross bar of the cage. The support is formed as a flat backing sheet of cardboard, wood, plastic, etc. In outline shape, the backing sheet can be rectangular, square, oval circular, triangular, heart-shaped or of any other suitable configuration as desired. Fixed to one face of the backing sheet with a binding agent is a block of bird seed. The block of bird seed pref. just covers the area of one face of the backing sheet. The backing sheet can have parallel side flanges so that a channel is formed in which the block of seed is glued by its back and side surfaces. Pref. the side flanges have a height which is equal to between one third and one half the thickness of the seed block. The backing sheet can be formed with ridges, channels to provide additional area of adhesion for the seed blocks. The reverse, uncoated surface of the backing sheet rests against the bars of the cage so that all the seed is accessible for pecking on the obverse side. There is never any need to turn the block around.
