Fuel injection motor for heat pump compressor - has injection timing linearly advanced after starting with increasing rotation

The motor has the fuel injection point adjusted via a setting device (34a) coupled to a servo (34) with a linear regulation characteristic. The injection point is advanced from an initial setting after starting the motor in accordance with the rising rotation rate. The servo (34) may comprise an electric setting motor which is switched on and off via a thermostat (38) monitoring the air temp. in the vicinity of the heat pump. Alternatively, a hydraulic setting motor dependant on the press in the lubrication circuit is used. Pref. the fuel injection pump has the feed piston (54) set to allow the max. amount of fuel to be injected during starting. The setting device (34a) for the injection point cooperates with a stop (98) and the feed piston (54) is controlled by a centrifugal regulator to prevent the max. permissible rotation being exceeded.
