The low voltage jack strip type connector, which also incorporates relay or switch contact spring sets, extends from the insulating housing. An insulating housing (23) holds one end of each spring contact set (24-27) firmly (at 28-31) where a screw clamp connector (32,28,33,29,34,30 to 35,31) is used to grip the lead-in wires. The spring sets (24-27) standing proud from the insulating housing (23) form, with the housing, the male unit which slides and grips into the switch unit mechanism housing (10). The design is for power cubicle protection circuitry, and similar, and permits changing of switch contact individual units under fault conditions etc.
