Polyacrylamide flocculant powder dissolving easily in water - contains gel mixt. of aluminium and/or magnesium silicate, organic solvent and emulsifier

A polyacrylamide powder prepn. which dissolves easily in water contains 0.1-10 wt.% (w.r.t. dry polyacrylamide) of a mixt. of an organophilic Al- and/or Mg silicate contg. an organic solvent and an emulsifier. The solvent has a b.pt. of at least 110 deg.C. The compsn. is a flocculant used for clearing waste waters and dissolves easily in water without agglomeration and with only the smallest amts. of organic solvent and emulsifier being released. Dusting of the powder during processing is also avoided.
