The data input programming is effected via a number of parallel distribution circuits (DS1...DS9) each with an input/output terminal (DI1,DO1...DI9,DO9) each handling one bit of the data word to be entered or read-out. Each distribution circuit (DS1...DS9) has a multiple data input/output (MD1...MD9) coupled to an assigned storage module (EP1...EP9) a release input (EN) for selectively initiating a write-in or read-out procedure and a control input (CL) for selecting one of the multiple data input/outputs (MD1...MD9) coupled to the storage module (EP1...EP9). The input programming is used for data transferred from a floppy-disc or perforated tape.
