This ensures that, after a period of years, there are no expansion or stress fissures on sill or drip plate, nor in rendering or wall joints. Elastic rubber or plastics material are suitable, in conjunction with steel, aluminium, plastics or other building materials. The plastic or rubber piece provides buffering and expansion compensation under the effect of cold and heat, between window sill and/or drip plate and rendering or masonry.
