The convection part (14,15) of the radiator is mounted together with an air heat pump (4-7) in common hosing (3). The heat pump evaporator is directly connected with its air supply and discharge pipe (10,11) via separated passages (12,13) to the ambient air. The heat pump condenser (6) is in a heat exchange connection with the radiator part for heating proper. The rear wall of the radiator pref. has apertures for the air supply and discharge lines, coupled to appropriate wall openings fo forming the separate passages. The condenser coil of the heat pump may be fitted in an oil bath (14) which may also form a radiator part. An electric additional heater (20) may be incorporated. The radiator may contain a control (16) with thermo-sensors (17a,17b) in the outer air flow supply and in the oil bath. The auxiliary heater may be controlled by a change-over switch.
