The automatic travelled path meter calibrator uses path pulse generator during the meter operation. A path, over which a vehicle travels sporadically, is fitted with initiating actuators at fixed, unchangeable distances. The vehicle carries a sensor supplying path pulses to a correction device via a counter. The pulses are triggered on passing the actuators, and the correction device is used for speed and fine monitoring adjustment. Pref. certain intersections of railway line conductors are used as the actuators. The start and termination of the measuring process depends on receiving an appropriate command. Magnets may be used as punctiform actuators. In a high frequency data transmission system, probes may be used as actuators.
