The box-shaped caravan etc. extension on the vehicle roof is fitted directly to the gutters. The main part (2a) of the extension (2) forms a sleeping cabin, while the end sections (2b) form luggage compartments. The end walls (9) of the luggage compartments are hinged for access. Access to the sleeping compartment is by a ladder (6) through a space (7) in the roof. The cabin roof can be raised to provide dining space in good weather. To assist in reaching the luggage compartments, the vehicle is provided with additional standing boards (10,11) at the front and rear.
