The arrangement is intended for continuous injection of a fuel-air mixture in the intake of an i.c. engine. A mixing chamber (3), is connected to the narrowest section of a venturi upstream of the throttle. A fuel metering unit (5) supplies fuel to this chamber as a function of engine load. The compression chamber (8) of a downstream piston (9) pump connects to the mixing chamber via a duct (7) in a valve (10) mounting plate (2). This duct enters the compression chamber tangentially. The compression chamber may be provided with an annular recess (15) which contains an inlet valve in the form of a circular leaf spring (10).
