The typewriter accessory is intended as a touch-typing learning aid and is usable with a mechanical or electric typewriter. It comprises a series of stops (8) which are arranged below the key levers (18) and can be selectively set to block the movement of certain levers so that only the remaining levers are free to operate. These stops may be in the form of springs (8) which are vertically movably arranged on a base plate below the typewriter keyboard and can each be held in the up (by 6) or down position. The stops are pref. programmable by depressing the appropriate keys prior to the learning session.
