The arrangement is used for reducing water resistance on the hull of a ship, esp. a submarine. It is conventionally based on ejecting a medium along the hull from a system of ducts. This system is now located at least partially within or near at least one frame (10), possibly provided specially for that purpose. This may extend outwards to form part of hull plating (11,11') surface, the one system outlet (13) near that surface being embodied in the frame. Others may be located similarly and/or radially outwide the frame in the plate, distributed around the hull.
