The suction aid for a breast-fed baby fits over the breast of the mother. The aid consists of a body (1) with a distance piece (4) removable from a recess (2), together with a teat (5). The teat is removable from its mounting (7), and a cover (8) is pulled over the teat and the body. The breast-feeding aid can alternatively have a housing with handle and adjustable vacuum valve, a pump lever with a rod, a diaphragm, and a fitted cover.
