Telephone exchange with centralised control - uses parameter store to supply sub-programme addresses depending on required programme steps

The telephone exchange with centralised control uses a parameter memory (FSP) which contains the addresses of a sub-programme in their sequence of operation. The parameter store (FSP) is divided into a number of storage regions corresponding to the changes in state effected by the switching operations, each with one output state and several end states. A further memory (VSP) storing the branching of the programme allows one of the possible successive junction steps to be selected in dependence on the actual detected change of state. The commands are read-out from the parameter store (FSP) one after the other, to allow the sub-programme for effecting the individual programme steps read-out from the programme store.
