Lenticular grating for projecting stereo image - has aperture ratio of lens elements reduced to one sixth to one tenth to give good image quality
Lenticular grating for projecting stereo image - has aperture ratio of lens elements reduced to one sixth to one tenth to give good image quality
The arrangement is intended for producing a stereo image, observable without any viewing aid, by projecting a number of two-dimensional photographs of an objective, taken from adjacent positions, onto a screen or light-sensitive surface in front of which a lenticular grating is arranged. It has a predetermined grating width and a number of linear image bands. The aperture of the individual lens elements of the lenticular grating is reduced from the commonly used aperture ratio of 1:2 or less to a value of 1:6 to 1:10, e.q. by partially lacquer-covering the valleys between these elements or by interposing a correspondingly obscuring grating.
