The centrifugal fan impeller comprises a hub (1) and impeller blades (2) connected to the hub by spokes (3,4). The blades are carried between two rings (5,6) at either side of the impeller whilst the spokes are inclined relative to the central median plane, successive spokes (3,4) being alternately connected to one (5) and to the other ring (6). This permits reversing the impeller through 180 degrees for opposite rotation and is suitable for a single or a double-entry impeller. The rings may have segment-shaped cut-outs (7,8) circumferentially staggered relative to one another.
