A vinyl halide resin stabilizer composition which essentially contains:PP(a) an antimony organic sulfur-containing compound, for example, antimony mercaptoacid esters, antimony alkyl mercaptides, and the like,PP(b) an alkaline earth metal salt of a carboxylic acid, such as calcium stearate, andPP (c) an alkali metal carbonate, such as sodium carbonate.P P These compositions synergistically contribute to the dynamic processing stability of vinyl halide resin compositions. Rigid polyvinyl chloride compositions are stabilized against dynamic processing conditions of heat and shearing forces.
