Process for the production of porous glass, porous glass-ceramic and porous ceramic sintered compositions

The process for the production of porous articles from glass, glass-ceramic or ceramic sintered compositions comprises admixing a sinterable powder with an organic substance, which later burns and thus gives the pores. The mixture of the sinterable powder and the organic substance is compounded, pressed into a prespecified mould and pre-dried. In a first heating step, the organic substance is burnt, and in a second heating step, the material is sintered together.
