The patent application relates to a diaphragm-type pressure regulator with a disturbance protection diaphragm, a built-in control pressure regulator with a limited setpoint pressure and a safety shut-off valve, for regulating the pressure of gaseous and liquid media. 1) The invention relates to the combination of two independently operating valves, one acting as a safety shut-off member and the other acting as a pressure regulating member, which are installed in a normal commercially available valve bottom part. This has a material-saving effect and thus saves costs. The previous expensive construction of a two-seat valve body is thus eliminated. The use of a single-seat valve bottom part with the two shut-off members was made possible by the fact that the mechanical actuation of the safety shut-off member is performed by the diaphragm-type pressure regulator in the course of its operation. 2) The production of a large-diameter diaphragm housing to hold a large working diaphragm is eliminated because the regulated control pressure is immediately passed under the small closing diaphragm. This allows cost-saving production. 3) The installation of a small disturbance protection diaphragm which does not have a negative effect on the regulating function gives increased reliability of operation. 4) The arrangement of a second outflow nozzle in the control pressure regulator ensures that the diaphragm-type pressure regulator closes rapidly and prevents the back pressure from rising beyond the setpoint pressure. This is a significant technical advance.
