AbstractThe present invention provides a trans-dermaldelivery pad for nitroglycerin administration, specificallya microsealed, trans-dermal nitroglycerin pad having a backingwhich is impervious to nitroglycerin absorption and transportand a silicon matrix affixed thereto, said silicone polymermatrix being of cross-linked silicone rubber having from about10 to 200 micron microsealed compartments being formed by insitu cross-linking of the silicone rubber after it is mixedwith a hydrophilic solvent system containing the nitroglycerinand a hydrophilic solvent which enhances nitroglycerin dispersionand transport.
