An induction device, in the breast region of a window, used according to the induction principle, for air-conditioning rooms, in particular office rooms, has passage openings for room air to flow through the housing of the induction device. To improve the air-conditioning of the room, the window breast device (1, 1a) has a first air-distributing chamber (9) with connection to a pipe (11) conducting a constant basic volume flow and a further air-distributing chamber (14) with connection to a pipe (18) conducting a variable air flow. The air outlet openings (10, 15) of the two air-distributing chambers (9, 14) are arranged in relation to one another in such a manner that the variable air flow as well as room air (27) are inducted by the air blown out of the first air-distributing chamber (9).
