The hi-fi loudspeaker casing has a sound board (1) fixed to the front of a rectangular frame, with the loudspeaker cone mounted in the centre of the sound board (1) at the rear of the latter, so as to be enclosed by the frame. The sound board (1) comprises a simple vibrating panel, associated with one or more cavities (14) which are acoustically isolated from the sound waves radiating backwards from the rear of the loudspeaker cone. The sound board (1) has a fretted area (3) corresponding in diameter to that of the loudspeaker cone and the parts of the sound board (1) associated with the latter cavities (14) may have further apertures (7).
