Hammer mill for wet or dry cereals - for prepn. of cattle feeds without escape of dust

Hammer mill can grind dry, humid, oily or fatty materials to the desired fineness for cattle food without risk of blockage and without allowing dust to escape. The mill comprises a grinding enclosure with small bars welded to its periphery; particles of the prod. are projected against these bars by the hammers attached to the rotor. The latter carries a series of staggered hammers with interposed blades which ensure the current of air necessary to expel the ground material through the evacuation pipe. The mill is fe via the hopper and the Archimedean screw; any dust in the area is collected by the return pipe which is connected to the suction side of a fan incorporated in the rotor. An eschangeable grid of parallel blades is fitted in the mill outlet; the spacing of the blades controls the size of the ground prod. Mill is partic. suitable for grinding cereals, oil cake, damp maize etc. to the desired degree of fineness, for use as cattle feeds. There is no risk of dust escaping at the level of the feeding hopper.
