The fitting is to eliminate heat loss due to radiation or convection from a wall mounted radiator. It consists of a reflective screen, which may be decorative in appearance, with a surface in relief which faces the source of heat and diverts warm air towards it so as to reduce the heat loss. The fitting may have blades to reduce the temperature gradient near the surface. Its design prevents the formation of dust. It may have a coating of low emissivity material such as aluminum, and may carry an insulation layer.
