The expandable masonry wall probe, for drying damp and salt petred walls, comprises a metal profile unit with an electric connecting terminal at one end. The profile is a cylindrical tube (4), shaped to be transversally compressible under the action of external media. On cessation of this action is in elastically and automatically extensible. It can incorporate two inwardly aligned flat surfaces (6) running out from two of its generatrices (5), pref. with slits along the whole length of these surfaces in the area of abutment. This is simple and inexpensive, and reliable regardless of unevenness in the hole drilled in the wall, ensuring perfect electric contact.
