The machine tool accessory for setting the angle of a tool relative to a workpiece, has a range of 180 deg. and obviates the re-adjustment of a milling head or dismantling the tool mountings. The required angle may be defined by a pivotable (7, 8, 9, 11) steel 'L' shaped bar (10). The implement may be deployed on any plane surface, and may be moved without disturbing the angle. The orientation of the br (10) may be set by locating a peg (12) in accordance with sine tables, and once set, the bar (10) may be clamped in place by friction screws (17, 18) which pass through counte sunk holes (19, 20) in the bar (10) to enter a curved slot (2) in the base plate (3). The slot (2) subtends 180 deg. and is of an inverted 'T' section with threaded (6) slides (5) locating in the lower channel to receive the screws (17, 18).
