The h.f. antenna system comprises an arc-shaped group of h.f. elements with a linear group of h f sender and/or receiver elements. The system comprises a geodetic lens consisting of a parallel plate waveguide in the form of a quarter sphere. One curved edge of the lens serves for connection with the linear group, while the other curved edge contains the curved group of connecting elements or can at least be connected with it. In a quarter-sphere form the geodetic, parallel-plates lens (20) is the receiver region. To reduce aberration the lengths (X',Y') can be changed so that the receiver and transmitter parameters (x,y) are functions of (X',Y') and not identical. This is realised by suitably arranging the relationship of (X',Y') to (T,U).
