Dragline for handling materials stored in bulk - has bucket scraper and return cables controlled by clutch and one way drive motor unit

The dragline is used for handling materials stored in bulk and has a distributor unit (1) with a cantilever boom on top. This rotates over the storage area and carries scraper (6) and return (8) cables, attached to the front and rear of the bucket (5) respectively. The scraper cable is connected to a winch (9), operated by a motorised unit (11). The shaft of this unit carries a pawl and ratchet assembly (14, 15) and co-operates with a friction clutch (17, 18) on a second winch drum (10) mounted freely on the same shaft (12). This second drum has the return cable connected and can be rotated in one direction only.
