摘要
A method of measuring the axial force applied to one or more wires, uses an electromagnetic apparatus creating a magnetic induction in the wire. First, a calibration phase applies a periodic magnetic field with an axial component to a standard wire using an inductive solenoid placed near to the wire. The electromotive force induced in a nearby receiver solenoid due to the variation of the magnetic induction of the standard wire with the applied field is measured for various values of applied axial force. Secondly, a measurement phase substitutes a wire to be tested for the standard wire used in the calibration phase. The test wire generally has physico-chemical characteristics identical to those of the standard wire. The induced electromotive force is measured when a perodicmagnetic field is applied and by extrapolation, based on the magneto-elastic. Characteristic of the standard wire, it is possible to determine the applied axial force.
