Products for stretching across seat, bed and other frames, are manufactured continuously. A continuous run consisting of a number of long, flexible ements, arranged at definite distances apart, which may be varied, and parallel to each other, is passed through a casting arrangement. This forms at least one joint of synthetic material along at least one line, at right angles to the line of motion, and binds together at least two of the flexible elements mentioned. The formation simultaneously of a number of joints along a transverse line is carried out so that the flexible elements throughout the run are joined in pairs. Used for manufacture of the frames of reclining chairs, divans, etc. for out-of-doors, camping, etc., by much simpler means than are necessary for intermeshed, intercrossed wire lattices.
