The device for accurately dispensing measured amounts of fixing liquid for microscope objective holders, uses a tube (4, 6) which is squeezed by a pressure applicator device (11). This has a flap (10) which is pulled down so that a pair of crank arms (9) operate a piston and cylinder (12) to exert pressure on two flat plates (1, 2) which squeeze the tube between them. The liquid is forced between two tubes (14) which pass through a pair of horseshoe tracks (16) around a support plate (17) which includes a dispensing system controlling the quantity discharged. Alongside each tube is a cylinder (26) with two arms (28, 29) projecting from it, which act respectively to control the quantity delivered through the tube and as a stop valve. These cylinders are solenoid operated.
