The digger wheel revolves in the opposite direction of those of the tractor, the spoil being thrown onto a deflector (37) which disperses it over a strip some two metres wide. A rectangular subframe (2) may be mounted on the conventional three point (1) tractor coupling, the drive coupling rotating a multi-grooved pulley (10) through an extension shaft (5) with universal joints (4, 6) and bevel gears (7). Several belts (11), tensioned by a spring loaded lever mounted roller (26), may drive the wheel shaft (12) which is mounted at the rear, the shaft being stabilised by a fly wheel (16). A runner (31) may control the cut depth, the deflector comprising a curved vertical plate mounted to the force of the wheel.
