The system allows the notes being played to be recorded magnetically for subsequent replay via the instrument sound generator network. It employs a processing circuit (1) coupled to the keyboard comprising a multiplexer (11) with A/D conversion and a coder (12). This processing circuit (1) supplies a signal to a single transmission channel with a second processing circuit (2) comprising a decoder (21) and a demultiplexer coupled to the opposite end. The second processing circuit (2) distributes the information contained in the received signal to the various sound generators (20).
