Manual charger for small batteries - uses manually wound spring energy source to drive DC generator connected through Zener diodes and rectifier to batteries

The mechanism allows small batteries to be recharged manually if the normal electrical supply is unavailable. The mechanism can be built into the battery assembly and consists of a DC generator (1) driven through a multiplying gear chain (3) from a spring energy source (4) wound up in the first place by the user with a key (5). The generator output is limited to a Zener diode circuit (8) discharge back through the generator being prevented by reversed diodes (2) one in each line to the battery (7).
