The skip (B) stands on two front legs (2) and one near leg (2'), and has a lug (4) on each side which engage into slotted plates (9) fixed to a base frame (7). The skip is mounted on a U-shaped chassis which has an inverted channel-shaped cross section receiving the forks of the fork lift truck. Stops (10) support the skip (B) when it is being transported and when it is held by a pawl (16) acting on a bar (6) welded to the skip (B). The skip is tipped by releasing the pawl and raising the forks (F). One tipping device (7) can be used for many skips of different sizes.
