The extendable circular table uses a rectangular extension (A) which fits between two semi-circular pieces (3,4) when moved apart. The extension is divided into two (1,2) by an oblique transverse cut (AA'). The extension pieces slide relative to one another along a cut line (AA') to permit stacking in the circumference (C) of the basic table top. The extension pieces may have identical plan shapes and may be connected by a tongue (5) and groove sliding joint.
