Vertical equally spaced runners (2) are nailed to the outside of a wall (1), then a line of wall plates (3) is fixed to the runners. Each wall plate has a central hole (4) to suit the nozzle of the foam injector and the foam is placed behind one line of plates before the next higher line of plates is fixed. The quantity of foam can be determined by calculating the volume between wall and wall plate and the construction is finished with another array of vertical runners (7) holding boarding (8), wire mesh (9), and a final dressing (10).
