Temp. controller for building heating system - includes microprocessor to calculate projected temperature from previous, actual values and thermal inertia

The system is used in buildings where the heating panels are integrated in the structure. The microprocessor enables the temp. to be anticipated to take account of the thermal inertia. The output from a temp. sensor is applied to an A/D converter through a wave-shaping circuit. The converter output is applied to a data memory for retrieval by the microprocessor under the control of a program memory using the data and address busses. This enables the projected temp. to be calculated using previous and present temp. values. The extrapolated temp. is stored in a buffer and is converted to analogue form to be used to control the heating regulator.
